Affordability

NDP Leader Lorraine Michael (MHA, Signal Hill-Quidi Vidi) wants government to know that the way it treats the lowest-paid workers in the province is a disgrace. After the Minimum Wage Advisory Committee filed its recommendations in December 2012, government took 10 months before making changes that barely took the committee’s recommendations into consideration.

NDP Leader Lorraine Michael (MHA Signal Hill-Quidi Vidi) said today that although she and her caucus voted in support of the bill concerning generic drug pricing, they will be watching closely to ensure that the Dunderdale Conservatives live up to their promises.

MR. SPEAKER: The hon. the Leader of the Third Party.

SOME HON. MEMBERS: Hear, hear!

MS MICHAEL: Thank you very much, Mr. Speaker.
