Debate Muskrat Falls

NDP Leader Lorraine Michael

NDP Leader Lorraine Michael (MHA, Signal Hill-Quidi Vidi) says this province should look to Nova Scotia for a model of how to decide to proceed with a mega-project.

MR. SPEAKER: The hon. the Leader of the Third Party.

MS MICHAEL: Thank you, Mr. Speaker.
Mr. Speaker, the Premier has been silent on one of the most regressive and repressive pieces of legislation ever introduced to this House, but there has been a public outcry in the Province over Bill 29.

NDP Leader Lorraine Michael (MHA, Signal Hill – Quidi Vidi) is appalled that the government is dismissing the province’s Public Utilities Board’s report on the feasibility of the Muskrat Falls project – and that it is apparently dismissing the PUB itself.

MR. SPEAKER: The hon. the Leader of the Third Party.

MS MICHAEL: Thank you very much, Mr. Speaker.
