NDP Education Critic Dale Kirby (MHA, St. John’s North) noted the annual arrival of Education Week with congratulations for the province’s teachers, staff and students – and a demand for government to make our students’ school experiences even better.


MHA Dale Kirby (St. John’s North), NDP Critic for Education and Advanced Education and Skills, is congratulating teachers to mark Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week in Newfoundland and Labrador.


NDP Education Critic Dale Kirby (MHA, St. John’s North) today said he is seriously concerned about the findings of a national report which ranks Newfoundland and Labrador lowest in the country in its early childhood education programs.


Dale Kirby (MHA, St. John’s North) today posed questions regarding the safety of the province’s children, asking whether the decades-old Department of Education regulations related to school buses should be amended to reflect a time of busier roads and longer distances.


NDP Leader Lorraine Michael (MHA, Signal Hill-Quidi Vidi) today announced the critic roles to be filled by members of the NDP caucus.
