NDP Education Critic Dale Kirby (MHA, St. John’s North) says the Multi Materials Stewardship Board should extend its fundraising policy to give schools credit for recyclable materials collected during the summer months. Kirby has written to MMSB CEO and Chair Leigh Puddester to request the board change its policy.

 

NDP MHA for The Straits-White Bay North Christopher Mitchelmore has written to the Western School District asking it to mirror the actions of its Eastern counterpart.

Last night, trustees of the Eastern School District voted to rescind an earlier decision to close two schools, and to engage in a month of public consultations before making a final decision about closing them.
