NDP MHA Gerry Rogers (St. John’s Centre) brought the plight of desperate constituents to the House of Assembly today. These are people who want to end their addictions, and feel government programs and policies have let them down.

The department of Health and Community Services is doing a completely inadequate job when it comes to helping people end addictions, NDP MHA Gerry Rogers (St. John’s Centre) said today.

Christopher Mitchelmore, NDP MHA for The Straits-White Bay North, had a question today for the Minister of Health about the dialysis unit in St. Anthony.

 

NDP Leader Lorraine Michael (MHA, Signal Hill-Quidi Vidi) says a report released last week by the Canadian Institute for Health Information contains some alarming numbers.

The CIHI measured how 600 hospitals across the country rate on several indicators of patient care, including deaths after being treated for specific conditions, and re-admissions after major surgeries.

 

NDP Leader Lorraine Michael (MHA Signal Hill-Quidi Vidi) said today that although she and her caucus voted in support of the bill concerning generic drug pricing, they will be watching closely to ensure that the Dunderdale Conservatives live up to their promises.
