St. John’s Centre MHA Gerry Rogers, the NDP Mental Health critic won a prestigious award last night.

The Canadian Mental Health Association Newfoundland and Labrador handed out its annual awards last night in St. John’s. Rogers was the recipient of this year’s CMHA-NL Mental Health Leadership Award.

On Friday, March 24, 2017, we saw the culmination of a project inspired by an NDP Private Member's Motion. When St. John's Centre MHA Gerry Rogers proposed an All-Party Committee on Mental Health in 2015, it got the support of every member present in the House of Assembly that day. Two years later, with an intervening change of government, a lot of hard work has been done.
