NDP Leader Lorraine Michael (MHA, Signal Hill-Quidi Vidi) asked government in the House of Assembly today about reports and predictions that could have impact on the proposed Muskrat Falls project.

Michael cited “government’s expert, economist Dr. Wade Locke” and the deficit budgets he has predicted for the province for the next 10 years.

Mr. Speaker, government's expert economist, Dr. Wade Locke, has predicted a budget deficit this year and deficit budgets for at least the next ten years.

NDP Leader Lorraine Michael (MHA, Signal Hill-Quidi Vidi) wants to know if the Premier’s appreciation for Muskrat Falls polls lasted for more than a day, after a poll commissioned by NTV showed that 69 per cent of the population favoured a PUB review of the project.

Yesterday, the Premier trumpeted a poll showing 59 per cent of people support the Muskrat Falls project.
