Yesterday evening (Thursday, Nov. 8), the four members of the NDP caucus who represent St. John’s districts held a Town Hall on Muskrat Falls, inviting their constituents and other interested residents to come out with their comments, questions, and concerns about the proposed megaproject.

 

The NL NDP caucus is circulating a petition calling on the House of Assembly to return the Muskrat Falls project proposal to the Public Utilities Board (PUB).

Interested members of the public are invited to contact our office, and are welcome to circulate the petition and collect signatures.

Now that two senior members of the Conservative government have confirmed they have received the Decision Gate 3 numbers for the proposed Muskrat Falls project, NDP Leader Lorraine Michael (MHA, Signal Hill-Quidi Vidi) says those numbers should be made public. The DG-3 numbers will give a better idea of the total cost of the project, which will be at least $6.2 billion.
