NDP Environment critic George Murphy

NDP Environment and Conservation critic George Murphy (MHA, St. John’s East) wants to know whether government has fully thought out the increased costs it will face if it goes ahead with the Muskrat Falls development.

A member of the provincial NDP caucus asked government again today to lower the business tax on small businesses in the province from 4 per cent to 3 per cent.

Today was Private Members’ Day in the House of Assembly. NDP MHA George Murphy (St. John’s East) presented his party’s first motion, and expressed his disappointment at the government’s attitude to small businesses in the province.
