Tordon 101

NDP Environment and Conservation critic George Murphy (MHA, St. John’s East) is reminding government that the people of Newfoundland and Labrador want clean drinking water.

“So many people, everywhere in the province, have shared their total frustration at not having access to this most basic human need,” Murphy said today.

 

NDP Environment and Conservation Critic George Murphy said that the Auditor General’s report included troubling points on the regulation of pesticides. In his report the Auditor General said he expected, but didn’t see, written policies on the issuance of licenses, vendor inspection and on investigations into violations and complaints.

 

Today the NDP Environment and Conservation Critic George Murhpy (MHA, St. John’s East) launched a new petition aiming to ban the use of Tordon 101 for clearing brush on our roadways.

 

NL NDP Environment and Conservation Critic George Murphy, MHA for St. John's East, is circulating a petition calling on the House of Assembly to ban the use of Tordon 101 for brush clearing on our roadways.

Interested members of the public are invited to contact George's office, and are welcome to circulate the petition and collect signatures.
